Accessibility statement
Last updated 4 September 2026
kinl aims to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. Accessibility features are opt-in and live in Settings → Accessibility, so the app looks and behaves the way you choose.
Features you can turn on
- Larger text and bold text, with layouts that reflow rather than clip.
- High contrast, reduced transparency and a contrast checker that flags hard-to-read text.
- Reduce motion, which stops shimmer, pulse, ripple and auto-advancing effects.
- Colour filters for deuteranopia, protanopia and tritanopia, plus a monochrome mode.
- Larger tap targets, always-visible focus outlines and always-underlined links.
- Automatic captions on video, translation into your language, and image description prompts.
- Screen-reader friendly labels, landmarks and headings throughout.
- Brightness, night shift and a full sound mute for sensory comfort.
