Safety policy

Last updated 4 September 2026

kinl helps you find people and places near you. Discovery is approximate by design, but meeting people you do not know always carries risk.

Before you meet someone

  • Meet in a public place, tell someone you trust where you are going, and arrange your own transport.
  • Do not send money, gift cards or crypto to anyone you have met on kinl.
  • Do not share identity documents, banking details, passwords or one-time codes.
  • Trust your instincts and leave if something feels wrong.

Your controls

  • Turn location visibility off entirely, or keep it approximate.
  • Go invisible in nearby mode, restrict who can send message requests, and turn calls off.
  • Block, mute, restrict or report any account, and remove followers at any time.

Our limits

We do not conduct background checks or verify identity, and we cannot control member behaviour. Your safety is ultimately your responsibility, and use of nearby, map and meeting features is at your own risk.
